Refissa

Refissa is supposed to attack wrinkles, lines and other signs of age.  The product also claims to reduce irregular pigmentation. Those are all basic claims, nothing out of the ordinary there.  The problem with product begins with a quick glance at the ingredient line-up.

I see 0.5% tretinoin as the main, maybe even the only strong ingredient used in this cream.  If that’s the case then we may have a slight contradiction here.  While they want to get rid of skin pigmentation, tretinoin may lead hyperpigmentation and even bleaching.  I’m not sure that’s really what you’re looking for in a skin care treatment.

The good news is that Refissa is FDA approved. That means the government has looked into the product and given it the makers of the product the green light to market the product.  That isn’t to say there won’t be side effects.  In fact, tretinoin may not only lead to hyperpigmentation but also itching, redness, irritation and stinging.
