While it looks to be a solid product, there’s really nothing that stands out about RoC Multi Correxion’s Skin Perfecting System. But just because there isn’t anything special about the product that doesn’t mean it wont work. It contains some solid ingredients like hyaluronic acid, soy protein and Retinol. All of these ingredients have certain advantages to them and all play an active role as wrinkle removers.
But the problem I see with Retinol is the potential for negative side effects. While Retinol has been proven to help cells reproduce, it also can lead to side effects like redness, itching, stinging and sensitivity to sun. These are complications that can really derail a product in our eyes. Nobody wants to suffer from these kinds of skin ailments when it’s the skin they’re trying to improve.
The one thing I do like about the perfecting system is their inclusion of scientific data on their website. Granted, a study on their website is obviously going to paint them in a positive light or they wouldn’t have posted it. But they do claim it to be an independent study so you can take that for what it’s worth.
Anyways, the study shows their system to be three 3X more effective then other leading department store brands. Now, I’m not exactly sure what “leading department” brands were tested so that could obviously skew the results. If they tested less effective brands then it would make the results less impressive.
They don’t release that kind of information so you may just have to take the study with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, props should be given because they at least attempted to publish some kind of scientific research that backs their product.
The price tag isn’t too unreasonable. I’ve found it online for around $50. It could be a little more or a little less depending from whom you decide to purchase. The price tag is aggressive putting it in a market where they can sell it to the most amounts of people.
It looks like it could have potential. The ingredients are pretty solid and it seems to have all of their ducks in a row. There’s still a question in my mind about how powerful and effective the product really is. I wonder if it has the firepower to get the job done. Also the use of Retinol makes me a bit uneasy. I’d prefer to have them use a major ingredient that won’t potentially lead to adverse side effects
